The Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic, has pledged an ongoing support for the Croatian Studies Foundation and Macquarie University in offering programs and research in Croatian Studies.

During his recent visit to Australia, Mr Milanovic said The Republic of Croatia would donate $150,000 per annum to Croatian Studies over the next five years to support the program.

The support received from the Republic of Croatia, the Foundation, and the Croatian community will enable the Croatian Studies Centre to further develop its activities and programs, such as the recent initiative for the exploration of the archaeological site of Bribirska Glavica  in Croatia (2014).

The Croatian Studies Centre has taught over 2,000 students in its 30-year history, and continues to attract students interested in the Croatian language, history and culture.
