
The Organizing Committee of the International Conference on the 35th anniversary of Croatian Studies at Macquarie University is pleased to announce that the conference under the theme “Croatia and Croatians in past and present networks” will take place in Sydney (Australia) on the 19th, 20th and 21st of September 2019.
Contributions are encouraged on topics included in, or related to, the theme proposed for this edition, such as:

Literature and Comparative Literature
Migrations and Demographics
Science, Technology and Innovation
History and archaeology
Cultural and cross-cultural Studies
Economic and Community development
Social Harmony and Global Croatia
Networking and International Dialogues
Transnationalism and Identity
Croatian Language Schools Outside Croatia
Croatian Folklore (Music, Song and Dance)
Papers
The application process has finished. Late submissions will not be taken into consideration.
Delegates whose papers were selected for the conference are urged to present in English. Presentations in Croatian are possible, however, the presenters are expected to prepare a longer summary, handout or slides in English.

Conference dinner and excursion
Conference dinner with special guest appearance will be held on Saturday, 21st September 2019 at the Croatian Club Sydney in Punchbowl. To inquire about the tickets please email the secretary or see bellow.

Harbour Cruise will take place on Sunday, 22nd September 2019 and is open to the conference delegates and to the public. For more information please email the secretary.
Both dinner and excursion come with an extra cost ($100 respective $120; discounts for delegates to be advertised closer to the date).
